From the Westlaw Reference AttorneysLooking for “Smith, John,” a.k.a. John Smith, a.k.a. John Jacob Smith, a.k.a. John Jacob Jingleheimer Smith?

When searching for a person’s name, flexibility is the key. Look for John /2 Smith rather than John Smith. This allows for retrieval of records with John Smith or Smith, John. Using the /2 connector also takes into account a middle name (e.g., John Jacob Smith).
