Calendaring in Concourse Matter Room: Keep everyone organized and in touch

Legal solutions TOTWMatter Room now makes it easy to record important events related to your matter and share them with matter participants. The Calendaring functionality allows you to create one-off or recurring events in the matter calendar and utilize a synced calendar view in Outlook. Matter events can be created using the calendar widget on the Concourse dashboard, or by using the global matter calendar.

Using the Calendar Widget

  • To add an event using the calendar widget, click the “+” in the upper right corner of the widget.
  • Enter the event title, matter name (each event must be associated with a matter), and date and time. You may also set the event to repeat at the frequency of your choosing.
  • Enter a location and event description, if desired.
  • Click “Save” to add your event to the matter calendar. All events are visible to participants on the matter.

Using the Matter Calendar in Matter Room

  • Access the global matter calendar by clicking the calendar icon in the upper right corner in Matter Room.
  • Create a new event by clicking the calendar icon or clicking directly on the calendar.
  • Enter the event title, matter name (each event must be associated with a matter), and date and time. You may also set the event to repeat at the frequency of your choosing.
  • Enter a location and event description, if desired.
  • Click “Save” to add your event to the matter calendar. All events are visible to participants on the matter.

Using the Matter Calendar View in Outlook

  • To view your matter calendar in Outlook, you must download the latest version of the Matter Room Desktop software, which is available at http://info.legalsolutions.thomsonreuters.com/software/concourse-matter-room/.
  • After you have done so, you will see your Matter Room calendar listed under “My Calendars” in Outlook. Simply select the check box next to the Matter Room calendar and it will appear as a view in Outlook.
  • Create a new event by clicking directly on the calendar.

Additional Features

  • Tasks in Matter Room will also appear on the matter calendar.
  • You can easily edit an existing matter by clicking “Edit” when you’ve selected the matter in the Calendar widget or the Matter Room calendar. Updating an event from the widget, Matter Room calendar, or Outlook view will automatically update all views of that event.
  • You can choose to see reminders of upcoming events in your default Outlook calendar reminder.
