West's Key 93 Contempt
West's Key 93I Acts or Conduct Constituting Contempt of Court
West's Key 93k8 k. Publications Relating to Court, Jury, or Officers.

93 ContemptDefendant’s statement, “Are you ready for your ounce of flesh now, your Honor,” made following acquittal by jury of assault charge arising from throwing of banana cream pie at governor and following conviction by court on charge of disorderly conduct, was not of such nature as to constitute “criminal contempt” where the courtroom was somewhat less than orderly when defendant made, off record, the statement, and it was not shown that defendant’s statement was loud or boisterous or otherwise disruptive of the court’s proceeding.
