10-10-16Evidence that during the murder trial, county sheriff hosted a recreational fishing expedition for the sequestered jury, that on another occasion during the trial a picnic was held for jurors, and that the judge arranged for delivery of cake during fishing expedition to honor a juror’s 65th birthday, did not establish that jurors were influenced to favor testifying police officers because the jurors had been friendly with their security detail during the outings, as basis for new trial.
