The West km Knowledge Challenge -(as herein described, “Challenge”), sponsored by
Thomson Reuters (“Sponsor”) is open only to Thomson Reuters customers with an active Westlaw password, Elite or ProLaw subscription, or XMLAW contract, and who are lawful residents of the United States, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia who are at least 18 years of age.
Existing West km subscribers are not eligible for West km Knowledge Challenge awards. Only Thomson Reuters customers whose organizations do not already subscribe to West km are eligible for the awards, however everyone is welcome to participate in the social engagements activities.
This Challenge is not open to members of the general public. Employees, officers, directors of Thomson Reuters, their respective staff persons and affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising/promotional agencies and members of their immediate families (parent, child, sibling and spouse of each) and those living in their same households, are ineligible to enter and participate in the Challenge.
The Challenge is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
An individual employee representing his/her employer/principal in this Challenge is responsible for reviewing, understanding and abiding by his/her principal’s or employer’s policies regarding eligibility to participate in activities such as the Challenge described in these Terms and Conditions, communications and publications. If you are participating in violation of your principal’s/employer’s policies, you/the registered participant may be disqualified from registering for and/or participating in the Challenge and being awarded/retaining prizes. Released Parties disclaim any and all liability or responsibility for disputes arising between an employee/agent and his/her employer (or other principal-agent relationships) related to this matter.
To participate in the West km Knowledge Challenge, customers must engage in either the Knowledgeable or Genius level activity by midnight on the activity’s respective day. Each activity will be eligible for one (1) day, taking place from November 8-12, 2010. On subsequent days, participants are welcome to answer the West km Knowledge Challenge questions and activities, however awards will not be given.
Participants must truthfully complete as directed all mandatory elements for the West km Knowledge Challenge registration, online at http://blog.legalsolutions.thomsonreuters.com/category/west-km/. Following registration, a Participant must successfully complete the activity and successfully post an answer on the WestlawInsider.com blog page.
Limit one (1) Challenge Prize per lesson per eligible Participant.
Completion of an eligible West km Knowledge Challenge activity and display of an answer on the WestlawInsider.com blog entitles a Participant to the appropriate level award, subject to verification at Sponsor’s reasonable discretion, and further constitutes consent to and agreement with the Terms and Conditions of this Challenge and official Challenge communications and publications by Sponsor, including on the WestlawInsider.com blog.
Free promotional passwords earned through the Knowledgeable level challenge will be provided to eligible participants within 48 hours of participation. Participant will be personally contacted via the phone number or email address provided by the participant during registration.
Donations in honor of the participants will be made to Feeding America by November 30, 2010. Confirmation of the donation will be provided to the participant via the phone number or email address provided by the participant during registration.
