McCloskey, Estate of v. Stanton D.O. This wrongful death and survival action was brought after Albert Warren McCloskey died due to complications from an MRSA wound on his leg subsequent to undergoing left femoral-popliteal bypass surgery, during which the decedent’s lower leg was utilized as a harvest site. The decedent’s estate claimed failure to properly recognize, diagnose and treat; failure to consult specialist; and negligent discharge. Hall v. Laurel Ridge Treatment Ctr. A.H. allegedly received substandard care while a patient at a psychiatric hospital. David Hall and Michelle Hall, as next friend for A.H., filed a lawsuit against LRTC. The parties agreed to settle the matter for $10,000. 2015 WL 9948366 (Tex.Dist.)

Bristol Dialysis, LLC DBA Dialysis Center of Bucks County; American Renal Associates; Spectra Laboratories; Bressler, M.D.; Kidney & Hypertension Associates, P.C. This wrongful death and survival action was brought after Klintina Klapach, who presented with an extensive medical history including end stage renal disease, COPD, coronary artery disease, diabetes, morbid obesity and congestive heart failure, died due to a excessive dosage of Coumadin and subsequent intracranial bleeding following a cardiac procedure and post surgical care.
