WestlawNext and results per page: The IE7 conundrum

November 4, 2010

Q&AQ: I use Internet Explorer 7 (IE7), and I recently noticed I can’t change the number of results displayed per page. Why is that?

A: WestlawNext was designed and built to provide the most efficient legal research experience possible, which meant optimizing it for the current generation of  Internet browsers (Internet Explorer 8, Chrome and Firefox).

IE7 is an older, less-secure browser that does not take advantage of newer technologies to improve the speed and quality of your legal research session. By limiting the display to 20 results per page in IE7, we are able to significantly shorten the page loading time.

We recognize that many of our customers use IE7, so we continue to work diligently to improve performance for those customers.
