Search for the singular word – and get the plurals for free!

May 21, 2010

From the Westlaw Reference AttorneysWestlaw tip: Westlaw automatically searches for the singular and plural forms of words. Simply use the singular form of a word and Westlaw will also search for the plural form.

This works for both regular plurals (e.g., “cats”) and irregular plurals (e.g., “children”). The reverse is not true; a Terms and Connectors search for a plural word will only retrieve the plural form.
