Reference Attorney Tip: Leverage Editorial Enhancements

June 21, 2015

Reference Attorneys 30As a Reference Attorney, I conduct hundreds of searches a week for customers that cover every facet of the law. One of the best research strategies I can suggest is to use the resources that are available to you—e.g., Notes of Decisions and the Key Number System. Contemplating how a court will phrase a legal holding and constructing a Terms & Connectors search through trial and error can be very time consuming. This time is often better served reviewing decisions in the annotations and digests that have already been categorized and compiled by our own Attorney Editors. This method of research is not only extremely effective, but also cost efficient.
