This is an interesting case and I have been following its developments. On May 11, 2011, defendant Rajaratnam was convicted of fourteen counts of securities fraud and conspiracy. In October 2011, the District Court for the Southern District of New York imposed a Judgment in this case according to which Rajaratnam is to serve 132 months concurrently in the FCC Butner Facility of the Bureau of Prisons. He is to pay $10,000,000.00 in criminal monetary penalties and is to forfeit his interest in $53,816,434.00.
