- 248 Malicious Mischief
- 248k1 k. Nature and Elements of Offenses.
The State’s sovereign interest in wild deer fell within the definition of a legal interest, and thus wild deer were the “property of another,” as the phrase was defined in the offense of criminal mischief, and defendant could be prosecuted for shooting the State’s deer decoys; the State’s sovereign interest in wild deer was developed by courts of law.
