256 MayhemThe statute providing that cutting or biting off the nose, ear or lip of another with the intention or voluntarily, or maliciously while fighting or otherwise, shall be a misdemeanor should not be construed as meaning that the crime is not committed unless the entire nose, ear or lip is bitten off.
