11-28-14Friday after Thanksgiving is a “legal holiday” for California practitioners, for purposes of the bankruptcy rule governing computation of time; California courts recognize the day after Thanksgiving as a “judicial holiday” and treat judicial holidays exactly as they treat state holidays listed in statute, and so the day after Thanksgiving is “appointed as a holiday” by the state.
